Due to the increasing popularity of our handmade, reclaimed oak furniture, we are delighted to introduce the first of our dining table sets, a Reclaimed Oak Farmhouse Table & Six Chairs Dining Set, making your purchase hassle free and ready to use. 
 
This set includes a handmade, reclaimed oak farmhouse dining table and a set of six beech slat chairs.  The handmade oak table features years of history within the wood used in its construction and features knots, old nail markings and uneven edges as standard.  Each and every table we make is bespoke to you and every table is uniquely different and will have differences to those photographed.  
 
The timber is sourced as locally as possible to cut down our carbon footprint. Your reclaimed oak farmhouse table will be made from old beams and floorboards to provide a timeless, rustic charm. They are solidly constructed to last a lifetime and each one is totally unique. Only quality salvageable timbers are used to craft our tables - meaning the tables which are created will be long-lasting and sturdy. Reclaimed wood furniture and reclaimed wood dining tables are considered to be investment furniture that will stand the test of time.
 
The Reclaimed Oak Farmhouse Table features a smooth, sturdy, durable table top measuring approximately two inches thick and is beautifully finished with elegant hand turned legs. The tables are hand waxed in a medium oak finish and we then apply a coat of clear beeswax polish before despatch.
 
Because reclaimed oak is often distressed and marked by the passage of time, a table made from this material will usually feature imperfections such as nicks, knots, scratches, or uneven surfaces. These imperfections are part of the table's character and lend it a sense of history and authenticity and should not be deemed a defect. Because oak trees can take well over one hundred years to grow and live for more than 300 years, their timbers are much stronger, heavier and denser than those of pine trees. Oak is much less prone to scratching or denting.

Crafted with great care and attention, every table is made to order with a lead time of approximately 5 - 6 weeks. If you need your table by a specific date, please let us know and we will do our very best to accommodate your requirements.
 
We are able to deliver to UK Mainland addresses. We use a professional two man team to deliver from Devon. These are large and heavy items so please be aware delivery is to a ground floor location only.
 
The table is delivered in two sections; the frame/base and then the tabletop. The top will need securing to the base with wooden fixings included, but we do recommend using an electric screwdriver for ease. Assembly instructions will be emailed to you.

Aftercare:
Your reclaimed oak table will need nourishing once every 4 - 6 weeks with a coat of clear natural beeswax polish. We also ask our customers to give the tables a good buff with the pot of complimentary polish supplied once you have received it and it is in place to help it settle in. Wood is a natural material that expands and contracts as it releases and absorbs moisture.
 
Clear beeswax polish adds moisture and shine and keeps your table in tip top condition. Please ensure the top is secured to the frame, do not place your table in direct sunlight or next to a radiator as this can dry out the wood and cause cracks to appear.
 
To prevent marks from plates, glasses and cups - we recommend coasters and placemats be used. Do not place hot dishes or plates directly onto your table - it is not heatproof.
 
​Please note that bespoke, made to order furniture is non-returnable as these are custom orders and as such are non-refundable once they have been built. We are also not able to accept returns due to a change of heart.
